Defected consistently reflects the sound of the summer with their annual instalment of Ibiza's future anthems. This year Defected In The House Ibiza 09 is brought to you by Copyright, a DJ duo that are established as veterans of the Ibizan dance music scene, and Shovell – formerly of M People and one of dance music's most talented and prolific percussionists. With a long history of playing at Pacha, they have selected some of the best underground and upfront tracks that will become this summer's key records, and have compiled them into two very different mixes; 'El Dia' and 'El Noche'.
This Sampler, like the full compilation is rammed with exclusives. The previously unreleased Danny Marquez & DJ Fudge Remix of Copyright featuring Shovell 'Warrior Dance (Yema Ya)' gets its first run out here, and is ably accompanied by the full length unedited version of another huge track by the same collaboration, 'Drums of Benirras'. Copyright's own edit of Harry Choo Choo Romero 'Cumbia' also takes the limelight in its full form for the first time, as does the monstrous 'Boya Chile' (Deep 72 Mix) by Tapesh. Rounding off the Ibiza 09 Sampler nicely is the huge David Tort Remix of Fuzzy Hair 'Yebele'.
