Franco Martinelli - HousePage.net Steal Vybe returns with an awesome soulful release titled Selene (The Goddess of the Moon) on Phuture Sole. The Original mixes (Vocal and Dub) are pure quality music, with deep percussive groove and great synth chords enriched with an intense vocal performance by Alexis Simmons. Jonny Montana takes the track into classic soulful-house territories, providing a smooth rework with a fresh jazzy flavour, infectious piano, driven percussive groove, spacey pads and warm Organ solo. Finally, the Damon's Abstractic mix is a very cool broken-beats influenced track with hot Rhodes keys and beautiful flute parts.
Dean Serafini - JJazproJect.com This is a stylish start to the new year from Phuture Sole who bring us a typically soulful offering that's a little more up-tempo than their most recent material. Right from the off "Chris Forman's Mix" grabs you with crisp beats and throbbing bass that make you want to dance. Meantime the soothing blend of vocals and production washes over you blissfully. "Jonny Montana's Remix" is on a mellower tip with a gentle seventies soul vibe that's punctuated with some classy but sparingly used keys. Finally, "Damon Bennett's Abstratic Mix" is more percussive with a broken beat style to it. In terms of choosing a favourite mix, I think that Jonny's mix just shades it, but whichever one you favour, it's music like this that proves you don't need frantic beats to get people dancing.
DJ Timmy Richardson - TimmyRichardsonPresents.com Silky. Sexy. Smooth. That's what comes to mind when I hear this forthcoming release from Carl Dupree's & Mark Mendoza's Phuture Sole Recordings label. This is their 14th release on their New Jersey based label. The likes of Blaze, Monday Michiru, Abicah Sole, Tony Loreto and more have blessed the label in the past and now Steal Vybe (Chris Forman / Damon Bennett) steps up to the plate and knocks the ball out the park. This is sure to be one of the hits at the upcoming Winter Music Conference in March. What I really like about this release is that all the mixes stand on their own. You can literally play all 4 in the course of the night as they all have their own vibe. My favorites are Damon's Abstractic mix and And Chris Forman's Dubprise. Jonny Montana also does his thing as he continues to make a name for himself in the deep house scene. And if Alexis Simmons keeps this up she too will make a name for herself. A relative unknown in the house scene, this girl can sing y'all. All in all you can't go wrong picking this up. This is going to be one of the hottest songs of the year.
Mike Fossati - SpiritOfHouse.com Phuture Sole is one of those (few) labels that put quality over quantity - and with Selene (the goddess of the moon) by Steal Vybe (Chris Forman & Damon Bennett) they have a gem in their hands, featuring the sultry voice of Alexis Simmons. It's all about the captivating vocals, the resistless synth chords and the deep percussion enriched groove that together create a hypnotic feeling. The 'Dubprise puts the emphasis on the synth chords, while Jonny Montana relaxes the vibe on his interpretation using a groovy backdrop alongside wonderful jazzed-up keys and a wicked organ solo by Bennett Holland. Completing the package is Damon Benett's 'Abstract Mix' which is based on a slightly broken beat tinged groove and features warm melodic keys and a lovely flute.
Rogério Cunha - DeeperSoul.Blogspot.com New record from Phuture Sole, more quality house music in the scene! "Selene (The goddess of the Moon)" from Steal Vybe feat. Alexis Simmons appears in 3 versions and a remix by man of the moment Jonny Montana. "Chris Forman Club Mix" features a powerful electronic bassline and dreamin' synths together with splendid vocals from Alexis. "Chris Forman Dubprise" starts with the vocals but rapidly the synths arrive to command the track. "Damon's Abstractic Mix" is a more spiritual affair with beautiful flute and melodic bassline. Finally, Jonny Montana adds his typical soothing beats and strings, jazzy keys and the mandatory organ solo, resulting in another soulful winner.
Sammy Rock - CyberJamz.com Here we have another hot release on Phuture Sole Recordings. This time the lovely vocals of Alexis Simmons with excellent production work by Steal Vybe make this track sultry and sexy to please almost anyone that appreciates a song with a meaning. The lyrics are just captivating!! With 4 mixes to choose from by Chirs Forman, a dubprise with the wonderful vocals by Alexis, a hot Johnny Montana Mix, and Damons Abstractic Mix makes this a complete package. I predict this track will be in the top 10 on many lists. Bravo to Mark Mendoza and Phuture Sole Recordings for putting out quality tracks.
Carlos Mena - Ocha / Yoruba / Bembe Damon's Abstract Mix does it for me with the Afro-vibe and goes right into the rotation. Another winner from Steal Vybe and Phuture Sole.
