The GKF’s Licensing manager gives us a fresh and brasil flavoured project with Vera Medina. From Recording Studio to clubs through the GKF’s Office, we can’t say the guy is bored. The cool Steve Paradise is a living groove machine and his producing activities are really prosperous.
VERA MEDINA: Singer, producer and compositor. She studied singing, guitar and piano with the following well known teachers: Nancy Miranda, Wilson Curya, Jeff Gardner, Viviane Keller, Cida Moreira, Paulinho e Elza Nogueira, Paulo Mandarino e Franco Iglesias. She participated of seminars and workshops presented by Ron Carter, Wynton Marsalis, Michèle Ledroit, Jean-Cristophe Frisch, Franco Iglesias, and others. She is now studying guitar with Conrado Paulino. She is a permanent member of Ordem dos Músicos do Brasil (OMB). She has a basic background on theater by Teatro Escola Célia Helena. She gives singing, repertoire and sound designing classes, writes for Backstage magazine, besides having a role in the electronic music market in the last 15 years. Her compositions are influenced mainly by house, downtempo, jazz, bossa-nova and trip hop in a mixture of acoustic and electronic vibes. Her debut album, Resolution, was completely prod uced by her and was released in 2006 by Lua Music. This album was indicated for the contest “Prêmio Toddy de Música Independente” and for the 2006 Grammy Latino. Bralli Records released her album on February, 2008 through digital means. Her partners and remixers include other producers and DJs, such as Mr. Gil, Steve Paradise, Eraldo Palmero, Marcelo Carvalho (Projeto Duet) , Ramilson Maia, Pil Marques, Oil Filter, Renato Lopes and DJ Tahira.
