About Beat Pharmacy: Brendon Moeller was born in Johannesburg, South Africa in 1968. Inspired by acts like The Orb, Future Sounds of London, Fela Kuti and Lee Perry. He moved to New York in '93 to pursue his love for music and dream of producing; leaving his career as an English/History teacher and his role of drummer in a band behind. Soon after moving to New York, Brendon purchased a drum machine and set up a home recording studio. After learning the basics of producing electronic music, he set about trying to discover his own musical identity. His subsequent work under the moniker 'Beat Pharmacy' was soon to be found on some of New York's best labels, including Astralwerks, Six Degrees, Wave Music, King Street & Codek. His Beat Pharmacy remix of Unkle's 'Reign' recently released on Global Underground is topping radio & club charts worldwide.
About Earthly Delights: Earthly Delights, the debut album by Beat Pharmacy, incorporates a lush fusion of dub, afro beat, electronic, jazz and healthy doses of psychedelica that are filtered, tweaked, and accelerated into the future. Similarly to the groundbreaking release Smoker's Delight by Nightmares on Wax, Earthly Delights incorporates the use of electronic production techniques and live instrumentation achieving the intoxicating and delicate balance of dub and electronica. Guitar and horns are provided by Shigeru Tanabu and Todd Simon. Two tracks feature the vocal stylings of Paul St. Hilaire aka Tikiman.
