The sixth release on Soul Life see's us welcome our first guest artists to the fold. French cousins Arnaud D & Frederic G have been creating music together for some time and have been gaining real momentum recently with releases on well known labels like Open Bar, Aquatique Records and Opsina Digital. For their debut release on Soul Life they have wisely enlisted the exceptional vocal talents of native New Yorker Jessie Colasante. This gifted singer-songwriter is currently working on her debut album and is undoubtedly one to watch for in 2008.
The package starts of with the Original Mix. We feel this is Arnaud and Frederic's best track to date - soulful house music with simple, timeless elegance that lays the foundations for a stand out vocal performance from Jessie Colasante. The lyrics are distinctive, edgy and sexy in a way that's sure to capture the listeners imagination! For the first of two distinct remixes Illusive offers up a Club mix that's sure to work well on the dancefloor, opting for a fuller and more uplifting arrangement whilst still keeping the emphasis on soulful house. The 'Evolved' mix on the other hand heads into darker territory with an electronic based remix with a futuristic edge that will open up the track to a whole new audience. An instrumental version of the Club mix and radio edit complete this well rounded package.
