- Oslo-based producer/DJ Nils Noa delivers his first solo release in a while on his own, fledgling Troll Imprint this June in the form of 'Uno Dos Rocks', a grooving tech-houser with top-notch remixes from Saved's Andy Chatterley and Troll co-owner Christian Sol. Nils is a veteran of the global house music scene at the relatively young age of 29, having been one of the youngest ever artists to deliver an Essential Mix for Pete Tong's legendary BBC Radio show as well as an enviable DJ diary. Infuriatingly, his talent didn't begin there, either - the man is an incredible sportsman (playing for Norway as a youth) and we won't even mention the celebrity girlfriend. It is music, however, that Nils is all about and 'Uno Dos Rocks' sums his style up perfectly. Undulating, bass-led and percussive, it's all about groove and simplicity and tips more than a swift nod to the halcyon days of tech-house - certainly no bad thing. Known for his productions alongside Nic Fanciulli as well as his own excellent bod of work, Andy Chatterley serves up a 9 minute big room interpretation which will find fans across the board. Fellow Norweigen and VIVa Music artist Christian Sol rounds of the package with a more stripped, electronic version for the heavier, tweakier floors. Troll Recordings is already seeing some great DJ Support, and this release should only further that.
