JONATHAN DAVID

Jonathan David is an Audio Artist from Toronto Canada. He comes from a mixed background of a Chilean mother and a German father. The music he creates and pursues sit right in the middle of these two rhythmically infused cultures. From DJ sets to original productions and remixes, Jonathan's music has become known for making proper use of drum elements and emotional soundscapes to add size and direction to his productions in and out of the studio. As a long time music enthusiast and contributor to the electronic life style, Jonathan is also a writer and music educator in all things that have to do with true underground music culture. In 2013 he began a friendship and professional studio relationship with the talented DJ/Producer Matt McLarrie from Scotland. The two have come to create there own sound and style which can prove hard to do in todays saturated commercial markets. This has pushed a constant flow of projects from them both as a duo,and also as individual artists. Jonathan and Matt co founded Cueca Recordings in 2017 and have had a strong label launch featuring artists such as Hauswerks, Dantiez Saunderson, Aldo Cadiz and Glender. 2018 will be a big year for Jonathan so keep your ears and hearts open.
